The Olive Tree Primary School uses technology for a range of processes. Technology supports the school’s communication, assessment, safeguarding, teaching and learning systems and more. Access to technology supports our children’s’ ability to self regulate, access learning at their pace, flipped learning, remote learning, accessibility and much more.
We recognise that whilst working online it is essential that children are safeguarded from potentially harmful and inappropriate online material. As such, we have robust security in place such as appropriate filters and appropriate monitoring systems. These systems are regularly monitored, and staff are aware of these systems, they can manage them effectively and know how to escalate if a concern is identified. The school’s curriculum supports children with the responsible and safe use of technology preparing them for the future.
